Resources
This section brings together the key resources and outputs developed through CREATE’s research. Below you’ll find tools, guides, creative materials, and insights produced with young people to support ethical, creative, and collaborative approaches to research and practice. The tab to the left lists all publications linked to CREATE’s research.

Young people, researchers and artists working on mental health research together, often use words and terms that mean different things to different people. This can cause confusion, exclusion and / or disengagement.
As part of Project CREATE's first work stream, which explores some of the key mental health and research-related vocabularies used by researchers and young people, we've created this resource to support researchers to:
- Recognise that key terms have specific meanings to individuals and that these may not be unanimous across all groups.
- Highlight the need to be sensitive and more aware of these differences and where confusion may arise.
- Use vocabularies that are meaningful and inclusive to working collaboratively with young people.
RESPOND Facilitator Guide - A5 is a flexible seven‑stage framework that supports deep engagement with any art form. Designed for use across research, education, wellbeing and creative practice settings, it encourages close looking, noticing details and exploring art through thinking, feeling and imagination. The framework helps facilitators and participants move beyond first impressions, opening up richer conversations and more meaningful connections with all kinds of artworks, from movement and music to writing and collage
