Being part of YPAG has been one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had. It has given me a space where I feel truly seen and heard, not just as a young person but as someone whose cultural background and personal experiences genuinely matter in shaping the work we do. Through YPAG, I have come to understand that research is not only about data or reports but about people, stories, and the change that happens when we truly listen. I have learned that my voice can influence how services are designed, how projects are delivered, and how young people like me are represented. It has built my confidence in ways I never expected, giving me space to grow, to question, and to recognise that my perspective carries weight.
