Kier Harris

Position
PhD Student

Kier Harris is a third-year PhD student from the University of Leeds, working closely with the two UKRI-funded projects: CREATE and ATTUNE.

Her PhD explores whether participatory video can be beneficial for the mental health and wellbeing of young people with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). This has included a systematic review, an interview study with video elicitation, intervention optimisation with consultation from young people with ACEs and practitioners, and a feasibility study.

Kier also supports the CREATE and ATTUNE projects with filmmaking/participatory video responsibilities.

In her previous work, she never had the chance to use arts-based methods. Getting to explore these new and exciting methodologies with some amazing groups of young people has been Kier's favourite part of working within this space.”
