Associate Professor Anna Mankee-Williams

Anna Mankee-Williams is an Associate Professor of Arts and Health at Falmouth University, bringing over 22 years of experience in the health sector. Her background includes roles as a Registered General Nurse (RGN), Registered Midwife (RM) and Registered Health Visitor (RHV) as well as serving as a Specialist Community Practitioner and Practice Educator. She has also held the position of Public Health Lead for Children.

In addition to her health sector experience, Anna spent 11 years in senior roles within local government, including Head of Service for Commissioning, Performance and Improvement across both children’s and adults’ services. She currently leads a number of research projects focused on health, wellbeing and social impact.

Alongside her involvement in Project CREATE, Anna is a Co-Investigator on the ATTUNE project, which explores the mechanisms and mental health impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to co-design preventative arts and digital interventions. She also serves as Principal Investigator for the Health Works for Cornwall project, which focuses on student mental health and employability.
